Management does not appear to care about residents' quality of life

I was initially very pleased to live in this complex. In fact, I moved out of one townhouse, in which I lived with a friend/co-worker, and moved into another with my husband right after our marriage. However, in April, Orchard Ridge (OR) and its parent company High Associates decided to allow a major company to move into 15 /- apartments and run their business out of a townhouse two doors away from ours. Since the very first week, in which other residents and I voiced our concerns and complaints, it has been clear that management cares more about these short-term lessees and the money they brought into OR than they do about loyal, multi-year tenants. Because of this attitude my husband and I have seriously considered breaking our lease. It is clear that OR is not honoring their end of the lease. Of course, this also appears to be an egregious zoning violation. A rental community such as OR is not zoned for running a business. This is not just a home office in which an accountant or lawyer quietly works. This is a case of unruly young men converging on the townhouse two doors down from us at least five days per week. At this point I would rather live next to a fraternity house than live with these neighbors.
At this point it is difficult to discern who has less regard for the other tenants in this previously quiet community- these early 20s salesmen or the Orchard Ridge management itself.
I would not recommend moving into this complex.
