nice to look at, bad to live in

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2002
 
These apartments look great, but appearances deceive. Noise is the first thing you'll notice; you can hear your neighbors fart, traffic, the whine of the trash compactor, etc. Minor functional problems abound in the apartments: broken door jambs, squeaky washing machines, etc. The maintenance staff is not adequate. The office staff make nice sounds, but don't provide any real help.
