Some problems, but best deal for $ in the area.

My apartment: 2 bed, 2 bath

First the bad parts...
Yes, the trash area overflows way too often & stays that way for for a couple of days before its emptied. The water is terrible, even after you run it through the Britta filter. Not all wireing is done right -- found that out the hard way while installing a ceiling fan. The building materials are pretty cheap: paint cracks constantly & scuffs easily, carpet pulls away from floor, molding breaks away from walls, linoleum peels up.

Next, the neutral parts...
Had a bit of a mixup with a rent payment that they didn't think they got. They tried to slap us with a late payment & we had a few hoops to jump through to set things right. Management did give us the benefit of the doubt and all worked out fine in the end.

Now for the good parts...
-Light & air: Lots of big windows on 2 sides of the apartment make it easy to keep the air flowing in the summer. We run the AC very little & stay very comfortable.
-Insulation: VERY well insulated against heat/cold & noise. Even in the winter, there aren't any drafts & the heat pump only comes on every so often. Almost never hear noise from our neighbors & even then the sound is quite faint.

-Space: The living room & dining room areas are quite big & well situated so you can do many things with them. Second floor units have cathedral ceilings which makes the whole apt. seem that much bigger.
-Maintenance: The maintenance guys get to requests pretty quickly & do a competent job in repairing.
-Price: Much smaller, darker, apartments in the area are going for hundreds more per month.
-Ammenities: Dishwasher, microwave, a nice oven, great fridge/freezer, full-sized washer & dryer in unit, outdoor pool, gym, clubhouse, lots of closet space, more than enough off-street parking.
