Pros and Cons

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2004
We have lived here going on 4 years. There are good things and some things that need to be taken care of.
The overall apartments are great considering they were built 40 years ago. Theres only so much you can do other then tearing down the whole complex and starting over. The upkeep has improved over the last few months. Over the summer it really started to look trashy on the south side and they are listening to complaints and concerns of residents and really cleaning up what has been trashed by some tenants.
The maitenance is great...little wait time to get things fixed. The office staff is good... but there has been times where work orders that were called in were lost in the shuffle but were fixed immediatley on second call.
The things I feel should be looked into. At the beginning of each month they hand out to each aparment a nice memo for the new month and what is happening at the apartments. Since I have been here there has always been one thing on that memo that has never really been enforced. That is, parking permits. They say they will tow if you don't have a permit displayed on your vehicle. There are tenants in here that have 3-4 cars per apartment and only 2 have permits. Some of these cars sit taking up valuable and much needed parking space. They need to take time and really go through the parking lots and tag cars letting them know that they need to have a permit. If you get home after 6pm be prepared to park a good ways from your building..this is a pain when you have children or are getting back from the grocery store and need to carry bags into your apartment.
Other then this, my stay here has been satisfactory and I plan on staying a few more years.
