Finally, after living there for 3 1/2 years, I'm gone. We had no problems with the old landlord and staff. Weeks after Arlene and the new staff came, so did the mice and roaches.
I was pregnant with my first child when I saw the first roach, a small one. It progressed from there. I saw a couple more small ones when my baby was just born. And on an on it went. They had the cheap exterminators come, but they don't do any good, spraying in 2 rooms and not spraying the apartments next to you.
Then the mouse came. They got into my cabinets, ate my food and pooped all over. We would hear them in the kitchen chewing on things and couldn't find them. We had to buy our own traps. At one point there were 6 dead mice in our traps within a matter of 2 days. That is unacceptable, especially when you keep your apartment spotless and have a baby crawling around on the floor.
I was constantly shampooing my rugs because I was afraid of roach and mouse disease.
Don't get me started on the staff in general. You'd call to complain and they either don't answer, don't return your calls or don't come fix things until you call 40 times. When they finally do come, they don't fix things right. I wrote down everything about that apartment, every time I had to call them, every call unanswered or unreturned. I suggest you do the same if you're there, that way you can get out of your lease. Luckily they let me out of my lease without a fight. They knew they'd be in for a big fight with me.
Don't buy into them telling you it's great living above the laundry room. It was so noisy. Everytime the door shut, it shook my whole apartment and woke my baby who was right above the door. You could hear every conversation and people would go down there and smoke, kids would play, the door was always open and people would be in there at all hours of the night. Not to mention you get more bugs in your apt. from being above the laundry room.
Also, loud neighbors, drugs, etc. I'm not going to get into all that. I think I've said enough. My nightmare is finally over.

Amen sister! This place is the pits! The best day of my life was the day of my closing on my new house and I got to leave this dump. (and they screwed me then too...with their lack of communication.) Arlene was wonderful...and LM was a nice place to live...but with the new landlord came the roaches, mice, druggies, and trash!
