Hi guys, a couple years back, i wrote a review of laurel manor apts with this same title. And I'M BACK.... with more crap to tell you about these ratholed apartments. Like i said, I've been here for over 6 years, and I don't want to tell you my apt number because these scum management people check this info across their computers, and then try to evict people. I've seen it happen before. Anyways, like I said in the review before, Laurie, the landlord when I moved here, was a sweet woman who had a perfect management team. Now, these half-brained non-college graduates running these apartments don't know how to properly manage anything. I do have to admit, sometimes, their response time is decent (2-5 days, which is still pretty bad), but most of the time it takes weeks to address any problem we have. You better get ready to shell out over $900 for these run down apartment.... but oh wait, maybe it won't be that bad, since you'll be sharing your apartment with dozens of mice, just ask those little mice to help pay the rent for you! I think i know how the rats got here.... they saw their rat-faced relatives running the spartments, and all decided to move in! Like i said before, they started cutting down all of the trees in out apartments (we live on the north side of the tracks), and now the place looks so lifeless except for a few shrubs they have planted at random places and those pitiful little trees around the gazebo. They have illegal mexican people cutting the grass once a month, and you'll see them walking around. I should really report these owners to the ACLU, but I have what i like to call, a LIFE of my own. And most of the time, the trash dumpsters are owerflowing with garbage, so people just throw their trash AROUND the dumpster.... these people are so intelligent!! Parking is horrible if you happen to go out at night and come back, you won't find a single spot. Finally, we get down to the neighbors.... we had really bad white trash neighbors living one apartment down from us. They used to swear constantly, even in front of their 4 yr old..... thank god they moved out, you could practically hear them screaming across the apartments. Also, there are now, for some reason, a lot of black people moving in (i wouldn't mind, i'm not racist in any way, in fact, i'm from a minority as well), but they have loud music playing all the time, it gets annoying when you are studying or doing work. Anyways, the point I'm trying to make is this - - - - - if you are thinking of moving into these apartments just for the convenience of the train track right next to you, don't do it. DO yourself a HUGE favor, and rent an apartment a few blocks down at New Orleans Apartments. They're located in a much nicer area, with fitness and entertainment centers of their own, and the YMCA is right next to them. Plus, they have many more trees and "greenery" in their apartment, so you will feel much more relaxed all the time. So these are my two cents, hope you read the dozens of other reviews about this place, and if you are still thinking about renting these apartments because you are posessed by the -----, evicted from all other apartments and this is the only place you have left, or are homeless, the may god be with you! Bye :)

I lived at LM years ago, and I still read these posts because these are funny, but I am happy to see that so many other people still agree with me. The landlords were trash themselves. The tote that they have almost 100% rented out...but that is only because they will let anyone live here. It is not NOT NOT NOT a good place to live.

I too live at laurel manor apartments and I have no idea what this person is talking about. The property manager is a very sweet and fair person and is always very helpfull. It sounds like you have issues, last time I heard people of all races play their music loud. Instead of writing a long winded complaint maybe you should sign up for some anger management classes ( sounds like you need them). And lastly if it is such a horrible place to live why don't you move out. We can do without racist's like you.

Obiously the comment above is from the employees. I haven't seen a positive review of this place in a LOOONG time. I moved out a few years ago and it was the happiest day of my life...besides getting married and having a baby. Good luck, and I hope you get outta there soon.

Laurel Manor may or many not be the cesspool everyone is stating but the original person is a racist. Their opinion has absolutely no credibility.

BEWARE: any good comments on LM come from the mgmt posing as tenants. The place is a dump. i know 1st hand. A lot of riff-raff people live there. Ratlord j#$ who owns is a greedy ----- who only cares about $$$. He should be arrested & sued for gross negligence!!!!

Why the hell don't you just leave? Who writes a fifteen page review about how terrible the place is only to have lived there for six years. That's ridiculous.
