Parkside Manor is located just off of Connelly Blvd in downtown Sharon. It has its own lit parking lots and is bordering on Bicentennial Park and the Shenango River. (Only the north side of the B building faces the park.) The complex consists of two, three story buildings with indoor hallways. The tenants in the "B" building are historically better. Access into the buildings can only be accomplished with key or to be ?buzzed? in by a tenant. Parkside Manor does not allow children and the interior noise level is minimal. You can hear the interior doors close in the hallways. Most of the noise heard is from traffic on Sterling Ave and the riff-raff that live across the street at the separate Willow Village complex. A train can also be heard, but it?s not close enough to knock your dishes over. Apartments are equipped with refrigerators and dishwashers. There is a pay Laundromat in each building. Tenants pay for electricity; water and heat are free. The building does get VERY warm in the summer, especially on the second or third floors. Air conditioning is done through a wall unit, usually in the living room. It does not provide a good comfort level for the entire apartment. Parkside Manor is within walking distances to some basic stores and restaurants. It is nearby to the Sharon Police and Fire Departments, so if needed, emergency response is quick. Parkside manor is one of the better apartment complexes in Sharon. Nearby Riverside and Connelly Manors are a bit better, but are reserved for senior citizens.
