South Rock Apartments is an awful complex to live in. It wasn't so bad at first until the Apartment Store took over management. They are absolutely awful. They are looking to rip you off anyway possible. Even though we received our apartment in awful condition (Dirty Carpet, hadn't been painted in years, hole in wall from previous residents, broken console tv sitting in the living room that WE had to remove, etc) and returned it in BETTER condition than it was, we were charged for carpet scrubbing and a large general cleaning charge that took over $500 out of our collective security deposit. South Rock staff also barged into our apartment whenever they felt like... Andy walked in on me having sex because he only waited 5 seconds after knocking before entering. I HATED this place with a passion. Also, the neighbors completely trash the place and South Rock doesn't care. Glass and garbage sits all over the place constantly. Also, we had a downstairs neighbor get busted for selling drugs out of the complex! I mean come on...this is Slippery Rock...its a safe place...how do they seem to attract all the criminals'! I had friends who lived at the Ivy and had a much, much better experience. It may be expensive, but at least they are upfront about everything and won't steal your money!
