Nicholas Tower

I currently live at Nicholas Tower. Overall, I think my apartment is very nice. We have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a large kitchen area. There are tile floors in both the kitchen and bathrooms. However, the stove and oven are half the size of a standard one. Since my roommates and I cook a lot, this is extremely inconvenient, and is almost silly considering how large our kitchen is. Also, there is no coat hanging area/shelf space like in the other apartments in our building.
Another downside are the laundry facilities. To use them, you must purchase a special laundry card that you can put money on periodically. Unfortunately, you may not put more than $20 on it, and if you try to it completely voids the card and you have to buy a new one. It is very inconvenient and a rip-off, especially if you accidentally put too much money on. The card costs $10.
In addition, there is no surveillance system in the parking garage. This is a problem because if something happens to your car, there is no record of it. My roommate's car was vandalized, perhaps by someone dropping a glass liquor bottle from a window or balcony, and now she will never know who to prosecute for it. Make sure you park your car carefully if you live here.
