I lived in university towers for a year, and when I decided to sign a lease they made me move all my stuff out and go to another apt in the same hallway because they already rented mine out. I had no where to live for a week, even though I was moving 2 doors down on the same floor, luckily a neighbor was staying so I didn't have to take all of my stuff OUT of the building and then back up again a week later.

When moving out, I cleaned better than any service could have cleaned. I am a professional cleaner of apartemtents for a company downtown, so I know what to clean. It was so clean you could eat off the floor and even off the cracks of the fridge. They charged me for some cleaning charge, even though it was obvious they would not need it.

We also got our carpets cleaned. They said we had to, but never did they say that we had to keep the reciept. This being my first apartment I had no idea. When we got our deposit back, there was a carpet cleaning charge.... I tried to show them my reciept for the carpets and they said it was too late.

When I moved into my new apartment it was a disaster. When moving the microwave there was built up dirt under it and sticky stuff everywhere. Nothing was cleaned. I would have rather moved back into the apartment that I spent days cleaning perfectly.

Not only do they not clean , but when repairing anything, they charge. A screen door was broken when we moved in, and they charged us 100 dollars to change it. THey charge for everything, you WILL NOT GET YOUR DEPOSIT BACK no matter HOW clean it is, or HOW many new light bulbs you put in. They are out to get all of your money and rip off as many college students as they can.

In the winter the heat doesn't work. As soon as christmas break came, they just turned the heat down. Now matter how much you turned it up, the apt is not insulated enough to keep the heat in. I had to heat my place with the stove. which costs more money.

You can alwayd hear everyone outside, the walls are paper thin. I had someone blasting bass music so loud one time, that it literally vibrated pictures off my shelves and broke them.

The elevator never works, there is always a mess everywhere. There are 7 floors and one elevator, that even if it WAS working, it takes forever. THe only good thing about this apartment is it is above subway, and near body works.

It's old, outof date, over prices, and they will rip you off when you move out. When i moved in there was a piece of wood on the bed that looked like it went to the loft. Associated Realty told me to leave it in the closet cause they didn't know what it was either. On moveout, i put it back where it was when I moved in, and they charged us 40 dollars for it.

I wanted to be there when they went through my apartment when I moved out. They sent a notice that said you can make an appointment or just show up. When i just showed up, they told me that I was not allowed to walk around with the woman, because I didnt make an appointment. She was very rude and irrespectful and basically a total ----- about it.

i hate associated realty they stole out money and they cheat everyone as much as they can. Stay far far away from them!
