Ashwicken Court

I lived in one of the townhomes at Ashwicken Court last year and I loved it. There was a previous review from someone who said to beware, but I thought the experience there was great. About Jane, yes, she may not give you a huge notice about when she needs to get into the apartment, but thats about the only bad thing I can think of. She is very nice and very helpful, all of the problmes that I had were fixed within a few days max. So I guess I was able to forgive her because she did get the problem solved.

This apartment is MANAGED by Associated Realty, not owned. They run a ton of apartments in the State College area, so I always tried to deal with the actual owner, Jane, whenever I could because she was able to get the problem fixed quicker than trying to go through the busy staff at AR.

The townhomes are in a great location. Theres a beautiful park right behind it and its on a tree-lined street with bus access right across the street from the place. The grounds are very well kept.

You've gotta remember that you are living in a college town, so it can get a little louder on the weekends, but other than that its pretty quiet. I was never able to hear my neighbors through the walls.

There is assigned parking for the tenants which is also a plus. My parking space was literally 15 steps from my front door, so that was very convienient, especially on grocery day! There is extra parking available along the street if you need it. Oh, and one more thing, these apartments are on a culdesak so you don't have any street traffic going by.

And about them taking your entire security deposit. I treated my apartment well and made sure I thouroughly cleaned it when I moved out and I received the entire amount back. So as long as you don't go around busting things, and use some common sense, you shouldn't have to worry about being swindled out of your money. They ARE NOT bad people that are out to get you.
