the worst apartment i've lived in during the last 6 years

I've lived in a different apartment every year for the last 6 years and I have never had more problems with management staff then I did at Briarwood. First off the only reason I moved into this apartment in the first place is because it allowed my cat and I needed an apartment quickly. The apartments are run down and with their new "improvements" to the windows and siding the same problems remain. There is no insulation and gaps in the doors (which are still there with the new doors). What this means is you will spend your entire time there killing bugs. The walls are paper thin...so much so that I could have told you what appliance was being used by the family that lived above me and it would wake me up in the morning when they were getting ready. When you look at apartments management claims it is graduate and professional housing but you will find very quickly there are many more undergraduates than expected and they are very very noisy. They also claim to be pet friendly but then created artifical damages by my pet to keep my security deposit. While living at Briarwood, I had two major water leaks in my apartment, three broken closets, a broken bathroom vent (which was the cause for a bat being in my apartment), and my airconditioner was broken twice one of the times they tried to not fix until spring. During the occation I had the bat in my apartment it took maintenance over an hour to actually get there and get rid of it. On top of that the many problems often took days if not months to address. Management though was the worst thing to deal with there. Secretaries cannot provide you with any real information and it takes days to get a phone call back from upper management in which usually they are creating some series of excuses to cover the fact that they did not fix something. All in all this was the worst apartment I have ever lived in and am still arguing with them after I am out (which I got out of my lease early because they illegally entered my apartment).
