My fiance and I have lived at Briarwood (in two different apartments in two different Briarwood buildings) over the past 2 years (a little more actually), and overall it is not that bad. Yes, at times we hear our upstairs neighbers and on occasion I have heard thier alarm clock go off in the morning (when I am already awake), but it in no way disrupts my life. I will also acknowlege that is it anything but new. Yes, some of the handy work is shaddy, but it is not a 5 star hotel. No matter where you live you have to expect imperfections. As for the management we have never had any problems with them at all. They have always been very nice and helpful for us. Same with maitance. They came right away if we have a problem and are actually very friendly. I have never been treated poorly here. Yes, there is poop in the yards, but that is the fault of residences who are not responsible to pick up after their pets. I have never tripped over beer cans or had a problem with cigarette butts and if I did I would blame the residents....not the maitance people (dispite what some spoil college kids think, they are not our maids!). As far as parking we live in a two bedroom apartment and we have 2 parking passes in our lot and everytime (but once, on a football weekend) we have gotten guest permits when we asked. I would recommend Briarwood any day to someone even after I tell them of their shortcomings...which it seems every apartment in State College has.
