We rented a furnished apt in 2008 in Beaver Plaza from Continental Real Estate Mgmt. It was a wreck on move-in day. Dishwasher was broken. Kitchen cabinets were falling apart. Rugs were stained and dirty. After several complaints, they finally fixed the dishwasher and provided a desk that was supposed to be there. Security deposit was $1,495.00. We only got back $635.00. The apartment was left in better condition on move-out day than it was when we moved in.
Just an example: they charged us to replace a lampshade that was broken when we moved in. They deducted $202.00 to clean the apartment which we cleaned before moving out. The last person in that apt was the carpet cleaner that we had to pay for. They deducted an administrative fee of $112.00.
We disputed the bill but they will not return our money.
Do not rent from this company.

I would file a complaint with the state attorney generals office, www.atorneygeneral.gov, they should be able to help you deal with those crooks.

I rent an apartment last year in Lenwood. It is a company with NO conscience. They charged me for $808. Nearly $150 is for cleaning the carpet which was really worn out when I moved in. The apartment was not in a good condition but they supposed us to clean it like a new one. But it was impossible. So we are charged a great amount of money by them which is totally non sense. Think twice before you sign a lease!!
