The Best of What's Left

When I moved here, I made sure that I got a 3rd floor, 4 BR 2BA, facing the courtyard, by going VERY EARLY. At first glance, the place isn't too bad but on a closer look you see the shoddy construction. (and during strong winds, be sure to count roof tiles riping off to get to sleep. Just pray it doesn't rain the same night) The furniture needed replaced (vomit stains) and the carpet was bad (so we made it worse). The "panic" buttons would be a nice added security feature if they weren't covered in bottle caps to prevent drunken morons from pressing them at 3am every weekend. For some good old fashion winter camping, sit next to the bay window in the living room and watch your runny nose freeze to your face due to the constant influx of cold air. Then there's the walls themselves. At night you can hear EXACLTY what/who the person in the apt next to you is doing. My roommate was prilivaged to live next to a constant "self pleasurer"... At night it would sound like the Kool-Aid man was going to burst through the wall and yell "OH YEAH!"
