Decent if you can avoid run-ins with the management

I lived here for two school years and overall the place was decent. The parking here is pretty good except for on football weekends. Even on football weekends, it is still entirely possible to find a space somewhere in their huge lot. They give you three spots for a four bedroom apartment, but there are plenty of free visitor spots to use as well if you have four people all with cars (as we did). Unlike downtown apartments, the parking is free too which is really nice. The noise really was never an issue for us with the exception of a few instances. Few people had parties in this complex, so noise wasn't really an issue on weekends as most people chose to go downtown to party. In general, the day to day life there was pretty decent. We had a problem with our dryer that they fixed pretty easily, and for the most part, the maintenance staff seemed pretty friendly and helpful.
The biggest problem with this apartment complex was the management. These people are HORRIBLE. Make sure you get receipts with every rent check you pay as they will try their hardest to rip you off. I had my fair share of run ins with these people, and the trouble started from day one when they rejected my application due to a failed background check. I have nothing in my background that would disqualify me from renting there, so I looked into it further and found that they did not attach my social security number when performing the background check. Because I have a pretty common name (first, middle, and last), I was disqualified from renting based on a number of felonies committed in Texas and Florida before I was even born. It was hell trying to jump through the hoops with these people and prove that I was who I said I was. Once I finally managed to do this, they screwed up my application fee (said they never received it) as well as my second month's rent check. Each time this happened I needed to go to the bank to get proof that I had actually paid these on time and in full. Something as simple as writing a check for rent was turned into a circus of calls to fix their mistakes. Many people I know have had issues with their way of managing the place and have had similar problems to mine.
Overall, while the place is decent enough from a day to day basis, the incompetent management can make things tough.
