My daughter rented an apt from these people. This year there was a flood where the air conditioner was blown out of her basement apt. by flood waters. She was in the apartment at the time and was trapped in water up to her waist, and was shocked by the electricity that did not shut off. As she attempted to get out of her apartment she fell under the water several times and injured her back. She lost about everything she had. When she initially approached Helen about the problem, Helen was not helpful at all. Helen said this sort of thing never happened before. She said that she would not assume any of the liability for what my daughter lost.

When I spoke to Helen the first time she again said that this kind of thing never happened before. I told her that I had heard different and then she said that they had a problem in A building before.

I believe this has happened in several other buildings before because several of the buildings had the air conditioners mounted in the side of the building instead of the window well like my daughters apartment.

I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has rented a basement apartment in "O" building or any other basement apartment that has been flooded in the past.
