I am very unhappy with my experience at Lions Gate. I currently live there, and my lease does not expire until Aug 2008. At that point, I am leaving AS FAST AS POSSIBLE with my dog. There are MUCH BETTER pet-friendly apartments available. First, the pet policy is wacked. NOT all caged animals are allowed, NOT all dogs are allowed, and dogs/cats are an extra charge. Second, the noise of the neighbors is definitely a problem. I live on the bottom floor and can hear every time my neighbors move. Third, the apartments are FALLING APART. We had our electricity go out during the first week of living there because of shoddy wiring. We also had our bathroom mirror fall off (and break) because they were old and warped. Also, the lights in my closet and the air conditioner unit in the bedroom don't work. Maintenance is nice, but not always efficient at fixing. Fourth, BUGS, BUGS, and more BUGS: the millipedes/centipedes with LONG LEGS are a COMMON OCCURANCE. (Perhaps one or two a week') Finally, the women in the office are SNOBBY, UNFRIENDLY, LOW-CLASS, and have dreadfully mean little dogs that growl and yap uncontrollably. I went in once with my dog and we both just stood there as we got growled at. I had very high expectations when I signed the lease for Lions gate, but began regretting my decision within the first two weeks of residing there. Please reconsider your decision to live there.

Well, it sounds to me like you???re a big baby that expects people to wipe your ass. I currently live at Lion's Gate and love it. First, if something doesn't work how are they going to fix it if you don't tell them the problem? If you have bugs, they will have your apartment professionally sprayed.... FOR FREE! so tell them about it. If your light is out, um??? well. Duh! Replace it! How is that Lion???s Gate fault? Because you???re too cheap to pay for a light bulb? Second, they are upfront about their pet policy, so if you were confused maybe that is saying something about your intellectual ability. Maybe you should be more proactive and not expect people to baby-sit you. Oh, and those dogs in the office are very sweet. They may bark but if you had a brain you???d realize they bark because they get excited to see people. They are the friendliest dogs, sometimes I go in just to play with them for a minute, it brightens my day. Also, you are the one that sounds like the snob. The ladies in the office have been supportive and friendly to me. Perhaps you should treat people better in order to get their respect.

I have lived here at Lions Gate for two years. If something is broken, all you have to do is call the office or stop by and tell them what is wrong, they will fix it. As for the bugs, if you tell the office, they will get sprayed. The exterminator comes every Thursday to find out who, if anybody, needs anything exterminated. As for the light bulbs, that is something anybody can replace. The pet policy is very clear, if you talk to the people in the office they will tell you that dog breeds that are considered aggressive (pit bulls, mastiffs, etc) are not allowed. This has to do with the insurance policy rather than the actual dog. Aggressive dog breeds are not covered in any capacity by the insurance. Roxy (the only dog there normally) is very friendly. She barks, but she does so because she wants you to pet her and play. If you treat people with respect, then you will be treated with respect as well. It seems that you, as well as some other reviewers may have missed a couple valuable lessons.

hahahahahaha!!! this is too funny...clearly the management at lion's gate got some of their ol' biddies to write up rebuttals to this renter's complaints. might want to be less self righteous and obvious next time, haha. and while some of the problems this renter mentions (ie the pet policy) could have been alleviated by reading the lease more thoroughly, many others (the shoddy tenement like state of these apartments) might benefit from a functional maitenance staff and a little remodeling (i know that will set you back a few bucks, Lion's Gate, but it needs to be done at least once a decade). As for the issue of respect, if the management at LG wanted to see a bit more of it they would be wise to listen to their tenants concerns rather than retaliating so childishly
