I have had a very bad experience with Lions Gate. I would recommend that you look everywhere before you sign a lease with this place. Before I did, I saw the reviews and thought these were a couple bad experiences, but I don't know anyone at the complex who is happy (except the management raking in the absurdly high rent). First, the heat is a serious problem in ALL 3rd floor apartments...the boilers are not strong enough to heat when it is below 30 degrees so bring a space heater, blankets and money to pay for the higher electric bill. Second, the noise is a problem. The walls are thin and the doors are flimsy and a little nervewracking. Sometimes you can hear your neighbors going to the bathroom. Third, the dryers DO NOT WORK in the wintertime at all. Lions Gate is aware of this and hasn't done anything about it. Fourth, the pet deposit is high and you must pay pet rent. The parking lot is also very poorly lit in some places and the maintenance men are far from knowledgeable. One positive however, one of the managers is very nice and professional when listening to your problems (which you will have)...the others are angry, angry people... don't live here unless you absolutely have to...

First off, the washers and dryers are not Lion's Gate's responsibility. The laundry equipment is outsourced and if you have a problem with it you need to call the number that is listed in the laundry rooms for Continental Laundry. The pet deposit is not that high when you think that it goes toward getting your apartment flea and tick bombed. Secondly, Would you rather not pay a deposit and Lion's Gate not spray and your dog get fleas and ticks? Instead of complaining on this website why didn't you go to the office and find out why the dryers weren't working and why you had to pay a pet deposit. People like you deserve to live in a ------ refrigerator box on Calder.
