As a graduate student, this place was marketed as a non-undergrad apartment complex that would be quiet and well-kept and this is ridiculously misleading. First, squirrels were constantly running through the walls and no one would do anything about it, even after 4 squirrels chewed into the apartment and ruined my living room and bedroom. Maintenance didn't even help me get the squirrels out! Second, I live in a pet-friendly apartment with a quiet, good-natured Golden Retriever, and a man and his dog moved upstairs and numerous residents had to call the police because the dog barked constantly, night and day, and when it wasn't barking it was outside growling at all the other residents and dogs in the area. Third, maintenance came into my apartment 1 month before I moved out to 'update' some fixtures. The apartment was inhabitable for 5 days, and the maintenance men left a disgusting mess of dirt and sawdust that no one aside from myself seemed to care too much about. Furthermore, the buildings are so old that the heating and cooling bills are outrageous because the insulation is awful and the systems are ancient. Finally, the grounds of the apartments are disgusting. I was looking forward to having my dog run in the large backyard area behind the F-building, but I could not have him go back there because people consistently throw trash and debris off of their balcony that could harm my dog. In summary, these apartments cost too much for the awful upkeep and quality, and they should be torn down, because no person should have to live in such squalor and deplorable conditions. The Apartment Store is a poor business that is out to scam students and professionals out of their money. Do not live here!
