Lucky you. I think my apartment in Nittany Gardens has the original cabinets in the kitchen. One of the cabinet doors has actually been peeling apart (the layers of plywood). Maintenance was responsive and added screws to hold it together, but they also indicated these cabinets were not as bad as in other units (thus it was unlikely they were going to be replaced). The moral of the story...if you get new fixtures in your apartment, you should feel lucky.
