If you want to rent somewhere that the a/c and heat don't work, then this is the place. My parents own a 4 bedroom 4600 sq.ft house and the heating bills there are half. If you call and ask the office to come and fix it they tell you there is nothing they can do because when the buildings were built, they built them with cinder blocks blocking the heating and cooling ducts.

Also, in the winter if you like falling on the ice getting to your apartment you are in luck as well. They never remove snow and ice in a timely manner. The walls are paper thin...you can hear your neighbors going to the bathroom, and even having sex.

Horrible place to rent from...office staff is rude and degrading to your needs. Find another place to move into...don't fall trap to their shady ways.

What a spoiled brat! Get over yourself, for real. Yes, the heating and cooling bills are a little higher than normal, sure. The buildings are a little older, sure. BUT, I never slipped walking to my car during the winter. The walls are fantastic, I don't ever hear anyone doing anything, ever, unless they're OBNOXIOUSLY loud, which they never are. The office staff is SUPERB (Debbie, Albert, and Karyn) and they know me by name and are always helpful. I could ask for anything and know that they would bend over backwards trying to accommodate. If you are a mature adult and understand that no place is perfect and are willing to deal with a few flaws, then Nittany Gardens is fantastic. However, if you're a spoiled brat who wants everything to be perfect and will go crying to mommy and daddy if things don't go your way, then no, don't come here.

apartment in nice, lots of space and parking is always available... big balcony, lots of light...and it's also safe! BUT AC / Heating is TERRIBLE, absolutely TERRIBLE! it's loud and unefficient, and no isolation: you're basically dumping heat outside instantaneously. not sure they respect the 24h notice before getting into your apartment... Maintenance people are very nice and efficient! no doubt about that, but i am not fond of the lady manager! Since Dawn left, management has gone down down down, the manager seems to be after money (rent has increased every year... and well above the inflation rate!) I am moving out at the end of my lease for sure; prices used to be quite competitive for what you get, but now, not so sure anymore. oh and I do agree that walls are thin and it's true that u can hear neighbors when they have sex! so if you have quiet neighbors you're fine but if not, it can be a problem but isn't it the case everywhere in state college?
