Clean and affordable, minor problems

Overall, this a pretty good place to live. The area is landscaped nicely and there's easy access to Penn State University (only about 1 mile away), highways, grocery stores, and other shopping.
I've lived here for 2 years and the rent is very reasonable for the amount of space we have (about 900 square feet for a 2-bedroom/2-bath). The walls are pretty soundproof, there are hook-ups for W/D, the appliances are fairly new, and the water pressure is great.
The maintenance and office staff in the past have been really unresponsive to tenant's needs, but I think that's changing - I've had much better service lately.
All-in-all, it's a pretty good place. But please note that this is more of a family apartment complex - if you have kids, go for it - they'll have plenty of playmates.
However, if you're a young, professional couple (like my husband and me), I'd think twice. The children here are extremely loud. We live on the ground floor and many a night we've had to close the windows and blinds because of kids screaming their heads off and looking into at our windows. If you're young, urban, and professional, you might be better off renting one of the nicer townhouses in the area.
