I rented a two-bedroom apartment that was not worth was I paid in rent. My apartment came with new carpeting, 4 coats of paint on the walls, an old gas stove (that was always warm to the touch), leaking bathroom faucets (that were said to have been fixed), continuously running toilet (that was said to have been fixed), and a shady maintenance crew.

Some of the bedroom doors could not be shut because of all 4 coats of paint. The entranceway doors could not be opened without rubbing on the floors halfway. Most of the time excess force was needed to open then up completely.

I asked Maintenance crew to fix the doors. What did I get' I got an apartment that has two doors with gapping holes below each one; allow cold air to come in during the winter. All they did to fix the doors from rubbing was they took off the rubber strip at the bottom of each door.

In general, I think the owner has decided to let the place die a slow death, since it is only suspected college students living there. Chipping paint, cheap doorknobs, old appliances, and poor maintenance is not worth the $650-700 they charge.
