As close to perfect as you'll get

This apartment complex is probably as close to perfect as you'll get in State College, especially if you are a grad student or professional.
PROS: The rent is very affordable for what you get. I had a junior one bedroom apartment, and I was paying less than $500/month, which included all utilities as well as free parking and cable TV. The laundry facilities are also pretty cheap ($0.75 a load). Maintenance requests were dealt with almost immediately, on the very same day sometimes. The security deposit was minimal (only $200), and they didn't screw me out of it when I moved out! If you actually do a good job cleaning your apartment, you will get your depost back...which isn't something that can be said for most apartment complexes in State College. The place is quiet, and there are lots of walking trails behind the complex. It is also pet-friendly. Oh, and one of my favorite perks...your friends can park without fear of being towed. They have a very relaxed parking policy, and even when my friends parked in non-visitor spots, they were never towed.
CONS: It's a bit of a hike from campus, if that is a concern for you. It takes about 30-40 minutes to walk to campus using the trails (a lot less if you are biking). Also, the new maintenance guy isn't as nice as the old one. He's polite and all, but he tends to leave everything in disarray when he's done, which always bothered me. There are no community features like a pool or a fitness room either, although that wasn't really a concern for me. Overall, not much negative to say about this place.
