I knew I hated Sun Corp apts, but I had absolutely NO idea how many others were out there with the same problems! I'm just writing to confirm that these reports of horrible rental nightmares are true.

If you want to live in an apt with the absolute worst maintenance crew, then you've found your choice. These guys are the true soldiers of duct tape...it will fix anything.

When I first moved in, my refridgerator light would not work. First they tried to replace the bulb..smart so far...but then when realizing that someone had ripped the wiring in the thing to shreds, they ignored my pleas to have it fixed. After all, rewiring can be expensive.

These buildings are the worst old houses in State College...nothing in them is modern. My carpet looked like a dirty version of something from Boogie Nights...burnt red-orange...yuck! In the winter I would be slaving at work all day to earn enough to pay my huge gas bill, only to come home and see that my fire escape was a good 2 inches ABOVE the threshold...I could see the outdoors. The windows are drafty, the linoleum tiles in the kitchen were APPALLINGLY scatched and grimed from years of neglect. My shower walls were BENT and falling apart. My bathroom linoleum was cracked and ripped completely off in places. My bedroom door would not close completely due to the fact that the doorway was crooked. And yet...now I live in a 2 bedroom townhouse with only ONE other roommate, and pay LESS than what I did to live at Sun Corp.

And to think that since they NEVER returned my deposit, you'd think they'll be able to make some improvements to my old apt. Let's hope so!
