I lived here for two years, and found it to be decent. For the price, I felt I had plenty of space and no major problems. The office staff, however, are not always helpful, and sometimes snippy and rude. There have been months where the hot water sporadically disappears (always in the mornings, when I need it most) and it seems like the hot water heater might not be big enough or good enough for the number of apartments relying on it. The washer and drier are in the basement, and are pretty obnoxious in general. The laundry room is cold and dirty. There are only two of each machine for the entire building, which is sometimes a problem.

My biggest complaint is that the management didn't follow through on a promise they made. After I had been there a year, they sent around a flier offering "bonuses" if you sign another year lease. I chose the kitchen renovation (which this kitchen desperately needs - OMG old, beat-up, and gross.) They never followed through with the promise, despite my badgering them for MONTHS. I finally gave up, and it has now been a year since they made that promise. It obviously isn't going to happen. The linoleum tiles on the kitchen floor are not well installed, and are chipped and even coming up in places. The freezer leaks - condensation builds up around the fridge doors and then grows mold. Lighting in the kitchen is less than sufficient.

Otherwise, the maintenance staff are generally quick to fix little problems, like a sink that needed re-caulking, a bathroom that had mold growing, and a gutter that broke and funneled all the rainwater onto my balcony.

Oh, and be careful to ensure that all your visitors have guest passes in their cars. Walk's loves to tow cars from the visitors lot, including mine, which did have a tag in it (they towed it wrongfully, and I was late to an exam as a result.)

Overall, I was happy here - just don't believe any of the promises the management makes to you, and you'll be fine.
