Loved it..

The other reviews sound terrible, but I loved living at the Pointe. The management was very nice to me and the very few maintenance issues that I had were all solved very quickly and nicely. The apartments were clean and well maintained. I often used the gym, computer lab, pool, tanning bed, and game room with no problems. The appliances were new and each bedroom has its own bathroom (a big bonus in college). The walls are a little thin, the guy who lived under me liked to sing a lot and play music early in the morning, but this is an apartment and you can't expect it to be as quiet as a private house. The neighbors were all very nice whenever I spoke to them or asked for music to be lowered at odd hours. Actually, there is an after hours number that can be called and the staff will come and ask your neighbors to lower the noise when it is late and fine them if they continue to violate the noise restrictions. Also, the internet connection did go down a few times, but the dial-up connection is free through PSU and my connection was usually restored fairly quickly. One must remember that the Pointe has a contract with an outside internet company and does not maintain the connection themselves. If you call the company directly (they give you the number when you move in) the problem gets fixed quicker. Makes sense to me. Since I have left college and attempted to find a decent apartment elsewhere I have begun to fully realize how nice the Pointe was. I think some college students expect the luxuries of home and are shocked at the reality of living on their own. They should be glad not to be in the dorms or many of the very bad apartments downtown. The Pointe has all the amenties you could ask for and very polite and helpful staff. I highly recommend this apartment complex.
