This place has defintely done a 180 since I first moved here. The halls are all clean, the community is clean and well lit, and everyone on staff is friendly. You can definitely tell that the new management company actually cares about the community. They have been fixing and cleaning since they took over. The manager and the maintanence guys even plant flowers in the spring/summer. I plan on renewing and hope that they keep improving the community further. They definitely follow through on what they say they will do.

I want to see this 180 you speak of. I used to live there. I have noticed they planted flowers, but they chopped down the trees that used to be in the courtyard. The trees that used to surround the place made it look more serene & helped filter outside noises. I'm sure they had their reasons for cutting them down, but now SC just looks like a run down apartment with pretty flowers outside. (by the way, they appear to be dying!) At the very least, they should repaint the window borders. Then plant some small trees outside. Shirley Court is doing what it does best, patching up things that need to be refurbised completly. In this case, planting bright flowers in an attempt to offset the poor upkeep of the buildings exterior.
