Located in Upper Darby, PA in a middle-class working-man's area. Apartments do come with electric and gas included in the monthly rent. There is an annual fee for air conditioner use in the summer season which runs about $350 (as of year 2002). The heating system is very good so you will not be cold in the wintertime. The apartments are not carpeted. The rooms are spacious with tall ceilings. Pets are allowed but the management office requires notification and addition to the lease. Also, a credit check will be done before you are approved for the apartment. There is a 5-day grace period after the rent due date. The late fee is 10% of the monthly rent and is added to the monthly total if payment is not made during the grace period. The apartment supervisor and maintenance crew are on-call 24/7 if needed for emergencies. Any routine maintence can be slow in getting started and completed. The apartment complex could use a regular exterminating service but if you request an exterminator they will provide one. There is an antique elevator which generally works but can break-down on occasion. The complex is not handicap accessible. All in all, an acceptable place which is particularly affordable to senior citizens, students and young people just starting out.
