I've lived in the Ashby for over 2 years. Although the building is pretty old it appeared that everything was up to par. Got used to the occasional waterbug and mice leaving dropings on my stove. Since recently going uder new managment, the work that needed to be done in my apartment is non-existant on their paqrt. There have been black outs due to the management not providing the proper equit. for the fuses and they have a nerve to be located in New York, so u can assume what the excuse is when there is an emergency. I recently heared of theft in the building. As for the apt. itself, it's alright for about 2 adults and 1 child, limited closet space and a box elavator so look forward to moving your things in up the stairs. The security buzzing system is the pits because many times I'll come in and dont even have to use my key. It's right around the corner from the el and all the shops on 69th street, but move in at your own discretion!!!!
