When I first moved there it was a nice, clean place because the Navy had a airbase directly across the street which the government closed in 2 years, 1996. After that the office figured that the only way to go was section 8 housing. I was paying $650 and the people recieving section 8 were only paying about $100 a month with the rest being paid by the government. When anybody would walk in the apartment above yours, you could trace every step they took because the floors and ceilings squeaked and groaned badly. I wanted to buy an 100 gallon aquarium for my apartment but was scared that the weight of the thing might crash through the floor into the apartment below. The floors would actually bounce a little when I walked in my own apartment. There was a lot of police and fire department activity in the complex, at least 2 to 3 times a week both departments were there. This is an apartment complex of 200 to 300 apartments, not a city and to have this many incidents is really incredible and the front office never did anything about the problem, except to renew their leases. Did I mention the time somebody was shooting a gun in the parking lot. Im suprised that nobody was murdered when I lived there but that was 2001. Maybe the office did that to keep them out of the good apartments in the area.
