Everything you need to know about this place.

Years at this apartment: 2009 - 2009
-Cockroaches. Ants. Winged bugs. All of these will be in your apartment, and we've been begginging for a exterminator since March (it is now July). They keep telling us every month that we are on a "list" of the apartments to be fumigated, but somehow we get skipped out on every time. Don't bother buying Raid, it doesn't work. One of my roomates currently has a sandwhich bag full of dead cockroaches to give to the front desk. I would also like to mention we keep our apartment spotless, and we still get invaded.
-Broken appliances. Our dishwasher has been broken since we moved in, and gets infested with black mold. We periodically have to bleach the dishwasher just keep the dingy water smell away. Our toilet leaked water was leaking to our neighbors as well as us. It only took them about 3 weeks to come and fix it. It still smells like toilet water in my bathroom. Our pipes are backed up in the bathtub and water won't drain. This is a new problem, lets see how long it takes for this one to get taken care of! Our refrigderator roars and hums like a beast in the night. Our air conditioner secrets brown water, and if you don't keep up with the bleach, you can have a nasty mold problem. When our power was out (shortly after I was robbed here, I didn't have enough money to pay my electric), I attempted to use the downstairs washer and dryers, which were broken and ate my money. When I called the front desk, they told me it wasn't their problem.
-The neighborhood. Ungodly unsafe. I don't even feel comfortable walking from my car to my front door when I'm coming home from work late at night. I was robbed of my tip money when coming in from work night. Most people here are rude and have no concern that there are others living around them. Be prepared to be woken up with loud music early in the morning, late at night, and in between. Be prepared for loud bangs, screaming in the night, and people arguing. Walking to 7-11 isn't even safe. I was taunted by a group of 8 Spanish men by the creek while walking with a friend, and when we told Ms. Security, she didn't have anything to say. Which also brings me to, don't rely on security. You can always count on her with flirting and doing her makeup in the mirror... and not moving out of the ONLY parking spot left in the lot when you're coming home.
-The staff; the joy, the lies, the uncertainty. You may be fooled when you walk through the door of the office in Bucks Landing. They will show smiles and courtesy for the new, and show you that adorably quaint model apartment across the hall. They never show you the apartment you will be living in so basically you're suprised when you have key in hand. The place YOU will live will look absolutely NOTHING like the model apartment. I actually found a USED condom, a razorblade, and a losing lotto ticket in my bathroom shortly after we moved in. After the staff doops you into thinking this is the other Disney Land, they will no longer care about who you are, where you live, what's broken, if you're safe, as long as they are getting your rent. Any time you have a problem with your apartment, they are BY FAR the rudest people I've ever talked to. They make it out to sound like everything is brought on upon yourself and it's up to you to deal with it. The maintenance men are hardly professional. They will walk into your house whenever they choose to show up and whatever time they please without any sort of warning. When they aren't smoking weed by the woods, playing in the empty old pool house, or hitting on underage girls, you can find them letting people into the H1-1 apartment; where people were shot and killed last year, and they have YET to clean it up. You can still see the blood splatter on the wall, the big pool of blood on the floor in the hallway, and the child's Barney chair sitting in one of the bedrooms. Someone I was friends with knew two of the maintenance kids, and shortly thereafter I was worried about living here since they have access to all apartments, and they robbed people in the past.
-Parking. There is none. Point blank. And if you attempt to make up your own parking spot they will slap stickers on your front windsheild in front of driving view. Stickers that don't come off unless you have lighter fluid and a razor. Maybe I'll use that razor I found IN MY BATHROOM. But guess what, no use calling about this either...because again, they just don't give a damn.
All in all, there is much more I could go on about, but there is so little time. Don't even waste your time trying it out here. It's not worth it at all. Just read the other reviews. And if you currently live in Bucks Landing, I feel your pain. The "front desk" could give less a crap about anything, and will just keep feeding you bullcrap to shut you up.
I can't freakin wait until my lease is up.
