This place is an absolute dump. The large rooms and relatively inexpensive rent may attract you at first, however, don't be deceived. The apartments are dirty, unsanitary, and the maintenance is terrible. If you choose to live here, you will soon become accustomed to the landlord's frequent early morning cursing sessions where he watches the staff perform their daily duties and scrutinizes everything they do. Trying to have an adult discussion with him is like talking to a four-year old autistic child -- he refuses to listen and the only way to really get him to pay attention to maintenance problems is to stop paying your rent until you get his attention. More specifically, we had an incident involving our heat which took several weeks to resolve (even after we involved town health officials).

The Regency has potential to be a nice property -- the small lawn is well kept and there's even a pool house and abandoned in-ground pool (which now serves as a mosquito breeding ground). However, the cheapness of those who own the Regency (who, I might mention, have been known to even water down half empty bottles of window cleaner) has caused the building to disintegrate into the mess of problems that it is today.

Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for residency because unless you're a fan of landlord conflict and living in an unclean environment, the Regency is not for you.
