The good stuff:
- No bugs or rodents (at least in our apt)
- Inexpensive
- Good location to the train
- Ample parking
The bad stuff:
- Managment is pretty crappy. The lease I signed said that they would be "lenient" in allowing us to find someone to take over our lease, but when I tried to do that, they made it incredibly difficult - giving me a hard time with getting rental applications for prospective renters, rejecting one of the applications, and even warned us that starting this year they will enact a $100/roommate change charge ('). Hopefully, they will change their lease to reflect this fact...
- They don't like college students. Period. I am a professional student, and have been living on my own for nearly 10 years now, and they wanted a cosigner for my application.
- The buildings are old, and they have some problems with leaking and smelling. In addition, I was not aware that there would be a metal fan box outside my bedroom window, that, when the rain hit it, made a continuous noise akin to rain hitting a tin roof all night.
