Nothing Positive
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 4/20/2004
Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2004
I have lived in the Triangle Apartments for 2 years and plan on moving out within 2 months. I have nothing positive to say about this building.
Here are some key points:
1.) The apartments are severly over-priced. Calculate the rent per Square Foot. You'll be paying $24-30 per year per square foot. Most apartments in Wayne are $12 to 20 depending on quality and location. The Club La Maison LUXURY apartments are cheaper by square foot.
2.) The apartments are old, small, and full of maintenance issues. Check for uneven apartments. The building has settled considerably. Plumbing issues are a constant issue. The kitchens are all extremely small and insufficient. Refrigerators are in the living room in some instances. All maintenance issues are handled immediately but are of poor quality. All of my plumbing issues resurfaced and the paint job was poor. The front door lock was broken for 2 weeks recently. Residents were forced to enter through basement entrance.
3.) Parking spots are small. Try fitting your car into one of the spots before signing a lease. You'll be lucky if you can get your door open. The spots are about 2 feet too small in width. Good luck with your paint finish if you have a new car.
4.) Basement floods after any rain/snow storm. Many residents have complained of mold issues in their apartments. Check out the basement. It's a rodent, flood, and mold paradise.
5.) Management is incapable. The level of competence of Joe(the person who shows apartments) will be the highest form of competence you'll encounter.
6.) Hot water is non-existent during peak hours. I take a ice cold shower almost every morning. It's not pleasant.
7.) Heat is inconsistent. Some days, you'll apartment will be 100 degrees. Other days, you won't have any heat. There's no middle ground here.
That's about it. To confirm the above, knock on residents doors without Joe and ask questions. They'll confirm everything.
If you can deal with all of the above, then be my guest. There are definitely larger, cheaper(on a $ per Square foot basis), and more modern apartments in Wayne.
