I have lived here for a few years and desperately am seeking to find a new place. This complex is horrible, especially when you have children. There are people selling/doing drugs out in the open so I can agree with another reviewer. Children shouldn't have to walk through hallways with people smoking weed there. The tenants can be down right rude and trifling, partying, the noise is unbelievable sometimes and there is a lot of traffic going on in and out the building. I cannot believe that they just let anyone move into these places and mess it up like they do. Not enough parking, or safe parking rather. You do have to watch your vehicle and make sure you have an alarm because people seem to be careless and want to sit on the hood or lean up against your car. THere is no play area for the kids so there are those "parents" who don't watch their kids and then they throw dirt on your car, throw balls at it, jump on it....it's terrible!!!
As far as management, I'm trying to figure out who they are really. You can't get a response for repairs, don't think about requesting anything either. The jobs that maintainence does is usally a temporary patch which will likely require repair again very soon. They say no pets yet there are dogs and cats everywhere. I don't know what these people are doing but it's very unfortunate that they aren't on top of the situations that are causing problems to the good tenants.
OH YEAH, there is a VERY loud train that comes by so if your apartment is on the one side of the complex (there are only two sides), you will not get any sleep on the weekends when the train comes by beeping it's horn. What's worse is that it's not a real train, I don't think it even leaves the city...you don't know where it's going or coming from but it sure is there making a whole lot of noise. The laudry facility is dirty and not equipt for all the tenants so you're better off going to find another laudry mat.
Do yourself a favor and please look for an apartment in a better area with better management and a more positive atmosphere because this one here sucks and is so sad!

I have lived here for quite some time. I love the building I live in. My neighbors are wonderful. I have small children. The couple across the hall does as well. You never hear any screaming or yelling. I think it depends on how people raise or dont raise their children for that matter. I do have to agree with the lacking play area for children, but I also feel that parents should be accountable for both their action and the actions of their small children. You look at a child and tend to judge based on their size or approximate age that they should know better but the truth of the matter is they only know what they have been taught or exposed to. If they are not taught to value their own belongings how in the world do you expect them to value yours. The train can be annoying at times but the first one does not come until around 10:30ish. I have noticed some positive changes with the new management you have to give them a chance they are new and have only been here for a little less than a year. It is not easy claening up a mess created by others. You have to sort through the layers of confusion before you can reach the bottom and start with a clean slate. I have called the afterhour services and had an immediate response and problems fixed immediately. You have to look at how you treat people and what type of tenant you are. Do you pay your rent on time? Do you pay ahead? Do you speak respectfully to the people you need assistance from? What part do you play in your community? Do you ask the people to move away from your area? Do you call the police when you see illegal activity or drug use? The police patrol through the area do you ever stop them and inform them?
