For 1 bedroom apt - more good than bad

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2003
I have stayed for 2 years in a one br - the good were:
--generally reliable, well mannered and trustworthy staff, although at times you have to give the same complaint twice.
--rent and the yearly increase were reasonable(probably because of the next point).
--When I moved in, the kitchen and bathroom were in really poor state, in the course of my stay they were renovated.
--After the renovation of the leasing center the complex looks good.
the bad-
the apartments are very old, and first floor apartments are worse than second floor. some of the fixtures are very cheap.
Overall, for 1 br, before moving in, you have to really inspect everything properly and check all fixtures/appliances, walls etc.
