I have lived at Golf Club Apartments for 16 months and just recently moved out. After the 1 year lease expired they increased my rent by 11% (they also added an additional increase of 8% for going to a month to month lease). A 19% increase seemed a little high for a tennant who always paid the rent on time and never disturbed anyone. After moving out the managment team said I owed $260 in back utilities and decided to take rest of my money on carpets that had to be replaced. We didn't damage the carpets its just cheap carpet (If you have lived in many communities you know the cheap carpet which some properties put in that need to be replaced every year). The management team really must be under constant pressure from upper management to suck ever dime they can out of your pocket because there was no need for this.
When I tried to talk to the management team aka: Ryan, she was very condesending about the whole situation and acted like she was doing me a favor. Golf club really only cares about your money and they are very cheap in getting it.
They impress people with their nice club house and pool (which are nice) but if you look pass that you will be much better off (there is a reason they have a 33% satisfaction rating).
PS don't plan on getting your security deposit back.
