I've lived at golf club for a year and am currently leaving due to roommate situation and other changes in my life. The year I lived at golf club went fine. It was an alright experience, but compared to what is out there, it is a tad better than the rest.

Upsides:
rent is cheap for more than one person, maintenance staff is quick in returning calls, office is friendly and rent is easy to pay online, no guest passes for parking, you can have pets, own porch, very nice water pressure in the showers..

Downsides:
families let their children rum a-muck around the grounds on bikes, skateboards or just literally run in front of cars while driving to your apartment. There are always people hanging outside on stoops (one in particular I don't think ever moved from his stoop) and some odd people that do reside here. I didn't always get the "safe" feeling walking in, but no one ever bothered me or my roommate. They kept to themselves.
- in a 2 bedroom, the AC unit is only in one room, so the other roommate either needs a fan or to work things out to keep cool in the summer
- bugs were semi an issue-- i tried to plant flowers but bugs attacked them in days so they never survived. plus they would crawl into the apt. at times but not too bad
- separate bills for electric and hot water... it can run to be a bit pricey on top of your regular rent.. which they were going to raise if we were to re-new the lease.

Overall, honestly it wasn't a bad place to live and if situations stayed the same I would most likely re-new my lease. It is the closest out of all the decent apartments on Rt. 3 to the bars and up-town, and it has a pool and your own space. For someone that just graduated college and looking to stay in the area, this is a good option.
