Things I had a problem with:
-poor lighting in the parking lot. Made it scary to get my mail after work in winter, or walk a from my car to apartment, or apartment to dumpster.
-BUGS. I had bugs all summer and fall. Large bugs and spiders of many varieties. The exterminator I had to request did nothing and I bug-bombed on my own with very little effect on the bugs until cold set in. To be fair, I had a ground floor apartment.
-Maintenance repairs were usually the shortest and fastest solution to the problem.
-Answering service does not deliver messages.
-Hallways could be much cleaner.

Good things:
-good size apartment, lots of closet space (1 bdr)
-carpet, most appliances, and bathroom vanity replaced before I moved in
-Maintenance responded quickly
-Office staff friendly enough.
-Never had any issues with safety.
-Heat and hot water included. I never had an electric bill over $30/mo.

The apartment was fine, although I am terminating my lease after one year. I had the unfortunate luck to move into an apartment with VERY LOUD heating pipes (in the walls, not the baseboards) that prevented me from sleeping. Management (who's phone number the office is not allowed to give out) sent an engineer to my apartment to condescendingly explain thermal expansion and to ask me to please remind him in the spring that I had a problem and he would revisit it then. I understand that they do not want to rip apart the walls to fix the problem, but they could have been nicer, perhaps offered to relocate me to another apartment so that I could sleep through a night. If I thought they would fix the heating issue (which I have some doubts about) I would stay except I know the bugs will be back. Apartments were fine, I was just unfortunate.
