We just moved in and turns out there was a huge fire over the summer. Although the place looks like a war zone they are working on it. I guess we don't mind the hammering that starts at 7a but the issue is with parking. People have to park on the grass because there is no where to park now that the construction crew fenced up most of the parking lot.

I would suggest you walkthrough the apartment with the manager prior to accepting the keys. Just ask them to tour it with you. Our place was dirty and there were items that were broken. When we reported this to management they just said that we had to call maintenance and they would handle. Great, we just handed over $1k and we don't even have a door that works and have to wait for maintenace. Couldn't they have at least cleaned the carpets!

Make sure you pick up a jumbo vat draino because all of your drains will be clogged.
