You can definitely do better...

I moved into this building because it was the only local apartment building/complex who would allow a lease term as short as I needed. As far as I can tell, there are only three pros to living in the place and at least 10 cons. Pros: short lease term accepted, pets allowed, located in downtown West Chester. Other than that, this place is bad news. While pets are allowed, monthly pet rent is charged. The nice location unfortunately means that free parking is unavailable. Unfortunately, you will have to pay $50/month (only a $15/month discount off what the general public would pay to get a monthly parking permit) for a dilapidated parking garage behind the building with parking space lines that were obviously painted before SUV's were common. Have fun squeezing in and out of your car door. Other reviewers are correct when they mention that the security doors are "not so secure". Tenants frequently prop the back door open and the front door latch is frequently broken. In the winter, I arrived in the lobby to find a homeless guy taking advantage of the heater. I believe this buiding is the only residential property that the company owns. The rest is commercial and probably far more profitable so the manager treats the residents accordingly. After I moved in, I don't think he returned a single telephone call although while he was trying to get me to move in, he was quite responsive. I lived on the top floor and my ceiling began to leak profusely after a big snow/rain storm. I'm not sure what/if anything was done about that as I moved out soon after but as far as I can tell, nothing was done within several days of my reporting it. The elevators are old and slow. They are the type that do not move if you don't close the gate behind you when you get off of them. Many inconsiderate tenants don't bother so as you stand in the lobby, you can clearly see that one or both of the elevators is stuck on another floor until someone goes to that floor and closes the gate. The water pressure in my shower was non-existent. It was basically a trickle so I ended up showering at a relative's house over an hour away frequently. Overall, it met it's purpose for the short time that I was there but it is definitely unlivable for any more than a few months. My heat also did not work well but I never bothered reporting that.
