THEY WERE VERY HELP FULL TO US WE HAD A HOUSE FIRE AND THEY LET US MOVE IN AND THEN LET US OUT WHEN WE WERE OKED TO MOVE BACK HOME. THEY DID THIS WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM OF LETTING US OUT OF YOUR LEASE LESS THEN A YEAR.

As the Manager, I remember this resident and the circumstances. Their lease was a short term lease and they took the apartment "as-is" on a month-to-month basis with the understanding that they would move out when their house was restored. Jordan1118 is correct in that there is an early termination fee if a one-year lease is broken.

Very interesting...That was not the same scenario when I had to end my lease before the contract date. They would not accept the fact that I had been transferred to a new location and had to pay all penalties. So if you were let out of your lease, which I find very hard to believe, CONGRATULATIONS!! But I will say that this is not the norm and don???t be mislead by the isolated incident
