I've lived at Halstead for the past few years. I've always thought that the office staff was very helpful, the maintence team is very quick to solve a problem, and the grounds are well maintained.

I have noticed over the past year or so that there seems to be a different type of tenant coming to live here. There was a change in management about a year ago, so I have to wonder if the new management is more lax in screening the applications. In the past few months I have had two run-ins with other tenants that were less than pleasant. In one case I was shouted at by another tenant because he felt that I was in his way as I was unloading some trash at the dumpster, and in another I was physically threatened by a woman after I asked her son to stop leaning on my car. Over the past year I've also noticed an increase in people having loud arguments outside of their apartments, and shifty-looking types hanging out in the parking lot late at night.

Ill take a certain amount of grumpy grouchy people such as Mr. Dumpster shouter. But I will not tolerate being threatened for standing up for whats mine. Sounds like next time the authorities should be notified of the situation. Cover your own butt....let them deal with the karma down the road.
