Now that I have lived here for awhile, I just want to express my overall opinion with your property in West Chester, PA. The windows are drafty with a 6 degree difference at the window sill compared to the center of the room. That's exactly the same as my townhome whose age with its formerly original metal windows approached 20 years! Can't forget that all the kitchen and bathroom cabinets are some of the cheapest and poorest quality I've been subjected to. Surfaces bubbling up; at the floor level, complete with very sharp edges no less. Don t scrape an arm or finger as you reach in; it will take your skin right off. And pressed paper no less' What's better than that'--perhaps pressed and dried fecal matter would have been even cheaper--you need to look into that next time. Better watch out on that; if someone scrapes their arm or finger on that pressed fecal matter, well, you better get the pressed fecal matter with the optional infused antibiotic ointment . Here's another great idea--why not have the builders attach closet clothes racks to PLASTERBOARD rather than studs so that they can fall out of the wall' Maybe I really shouldn t hang my clothes in a closet I don t want my cloth heavy shirts to fall on the floor. All the next clothes I buy from now on will be made of feathers.

And what ESTATE appliances! Builders grade, only worse. Now I know why they re called E STATE , because they put you in an emotional state if you use them. A top loader washing machine without a hot water cycle, or gentle cycle; capable of destroying clothes in less than a year and a dryer sure to wrinkle every garment put into it. These two items have the modernity and efficiency of 1985. I know; I replaced appliances like that old only 3 years ago. But with a front loader and GE Profile dryer, rated the highest in efficiency and function by Consumer Reports magazine. Doesn t anyone know about wasting water these days' Let's not forget the outrageously loud dishwasher whose door never manages to stay open when you load dishes or silverware. It's only soaked my kitchen floor twice, so that's not too bad. By the way, it was a total waste of your money to provide us all with refrigerators. After all, they have NO SUPPLIED FREEZER SHELVES so REALLY, isn t it like a giant BOX to throw things into' Wouldn't an old fashioned ice chest (the kind you take fishing) have saved you a bundle instead' You messed up on that one.

Of course, the most warmth displayed is the "piece de resistance": high quality carpet and flooring. I'm sure if you paid more than $1.00 per square yard installed, you paid too much. And based on the cheapness that has been 'built into these apartment homes ; I know you didn't get taken on the rugs. Lastly, the linoleum floors: my mom and dad had those exact styles, colors and composition of materials in 1955. And it's scratched and pitted just like theirs was, (well theirs was 20 years old before it got this bad and replaced) so you have a head start. Some things just don't improve with age.

Are you folks sure you're getting enough money out of us' Perhaps you can charge a little extra if I open my front door more than twice a day. I mean, who would have thought that someone could tack on an extra $5.00 per month just so the water and sewer bills could be sent directly to our units, only for us to turn around and pay it all directly to the property management company at the office with our rent checks' The Public Utilities Commission would never allow the utility company to charge that, what give's Oxford Gateway the right' There s a convenience in it for you, but an unnecessary and unethical cost for me.

You people should be truly ashamed. But, knowing how you now think, you are not. How much money do you need to make' It I owned this complex, I would have to kill myself before I EVER got a C.O. for this place. I have a conscience.

Overall I thank you for this internet based opportunity to express what I really think. At $1500 a month, I would have expected more than the smoke and mirrors I received at your apartment homes in West Chester, PA. But that s what is truly great about the internet; the blogs, the forums, research sites, You Tube or whatever, it s there for anyone who wants to listen and learn.

After reading this review, I was going to write a lengthy rebuttle. However, judging by how poorly it was written, it's doubtful the author posesses the necessary intelligence to follow along. Having said that, I'll keep this simple. I've lived here for nearly a year now, and have no complaints. The office and maintenance staff have been responsive and pleasant to my family and I. If your not satisfied with apartment grade appliances and carpeting, then move back to your lovely "piece de resistance" townhome.

I am a resident of Oxford Gateway. Unfortunately, the issues in these supposedly 'luxury apartments' are as described in the email above. PARKING is a NIGHTMARE. Building material CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP from carpets to closets to kitchen cabinets OH MY, Yes, there is a draft from the window a really cold one. LANDSCAPING is NON-EXISTENT. It is NOT WORTH the $1500 plus that you pay. Please ask other residents for the real truth about the apartments because it is not the same thing that management says.

this review is spot on. this place will bleed you dry, whether it's on rent, electric or water. the water bill is based on the amount used in the whole community and then split up by unit. so you can end up paying $50/month for the 30 showers you take in your one bedroom place and the family of four who takes 120 shaowers a month pays the same thing. the carpeting is awful, with a 1/2 gap between the carpet and the door frames. the a/c in my unit comes out with the force of an everyday breath. the windows don't seal tightly, and there are gaps in between exterior doors to let cold air out in the summer and cold air in in the winter. b/c of that, our electric is through the roof. recently, many units, including mine, had hot water heaters expelling water which leaked onto the carpet. the construction is pretty shabby for a place that charges $1500/month. this complex is 3 years old and is already having severe problems. the management doesn't really seem to take such concerns seriously, instead focusing on how it can lure buisness to pay them for furnished apartments for people who come in and work in the area for 6 months. the parking situation is quite terrible. additionally, people seem to not grasp the concept of actually putting trash in the trash unit, instead placing trash next to dumpsters. i know that many of my neighbors, both young and old, are shocked that rates will be going up $60-$100 after the current lease expires. if there was improvement in the facilities, then maybe that increase would be warranted. but things only seem to be getting worse.

You should all move next door to treetops....I am a resident there and we actually have landscaping (lots of it) and a beautiful pool too. Apartments cost significantly less, office staff and maintenance are top notch, apartments are newly renovated with INCLUDED water and PECO bill never runs past $140 in the winter (and that is for a 2 BR-we have the biggest floorplan they offer.) I happened to stumble upon these reviews of Oxford and I feel very sad reading the stories!!!
