There is an interesting paradox at work here at Sharples. While on one hand the historic buildings and grounds are beautiful, even elegant to behold, the business reality is that it all seems too cumbersome for the current managers to handle.
They do try, but are simply out of their depth. From the noise issues - no sound insulation between units - (which has yet to be addressed), to the rotted windowsills and mold in the bathrooms - (the dryers vent to nowhere!)
The Manager we have dealt with seemed interested in our problems when we brought them to her attention, and to be honest, she did communicate well with my husband and I. But nevertheless, the problems still stand.
We also felt that she was unresponsive towards our needs for an early lease termination, and wanted to charge exhorbitant fees and so forth.
Overall, the experience was so-so.
