My family lived at Orchard drive apts. for a number of years. After the original manager left, the apartments went into a slow decline downwards in terms of upkeep of grounds, speed of maintenence, and most of all, types of residents who moved in (a lot of rowdy types, loud young adults hanging out in the parking lot all hours of the night, lots more police presence, etc. - it was NOT like this with the original manager!) This was a shame, since it used to be one of the nicer apartment complexes in the area, now there is a lot more crime and the place is sort of turning into what looks to be low income housing projects... Also, it was very discouraging since every time we went into the office for a maintenence request, the workers seemed to always be sitting around, hanging out and chatting! Noise levels have definately gotten a lot louder and overall the place is slowly deteriorating. Poorly lit parking lots.
