Good points and bad points

I have lived here for years and there are many good points. You are close to the PA turnpike and grocery stores etc. The rent is reasonable. Management just replaced the washer and dryers in my building so they are branch new. We also just got new windows, which do a great job of keeping out the noise. I think some locations within the complex are better than others as far as neighbors and traffic noise. If you are looking here, try to determine what apartment you would be getting. Parking would apply to this statement; depending on the location of your apartment, you may often not be able to get a close parking spot. The apartments are privately owned and the owner is also the landlord. He does a good job of maintaining the place and takes pride in his work. The maintenance staff is small but the "guys" are nice and responsive. I trust them in my apartment but they tend to make a mess when they fix something. The apartments have 3 walk in closets (no coat closet, however) and more storage in the basement. The storage bins are generous in size.
Bad points: the original floors are hardwood. Some apartments have carpeting, some do not (you are responsible to carpet the floors). Regardless of the carpeting, the floors are old and squeak terribly. I would recommend getting a top (3rd) floor apartment or expect to hear every step your neighbor makes. The apartments are old. The building inside can get dirty, the stairwells etc. They do vacuum, but not often enough. If you want a higher-end type place, this is not it. If you just want an inexpensive place to stay for a while, I would suggest Westbury. No central air, just one unit in the living room. My unit is old, maybe a newer one (if they would replace it) would work better. The top floor can get very hot in the summer, especially if you are on a side facing the setting sun. Because you can hear your upstairs/downstairs neighbors, and they can hear you, I feel as if I don't have a lot of privacy. However, compared to other apartments in the area, this is a good value.
