MAKE SURE YOU READ THE LEASE !!!!
I understand that leases are long and complex. I understand that sometimes youre time is limited and its hard to find a nice place. I understand that from the outside the place looks alright, and the inside (if you sign up for a renewed apt) are more than adequate.
They got us. Until I read the lease.
Do you think its a common clause to say that if an agent of Cedarbrook does anything, ANYTHING, including raping and murdering your family, they cannot be held responsible' Do you think its common to have a clause that says their staff can come into to your home with no notice at all' Well neither of those are common, and many many other clauses in that lease. Utterly rediculous.
After threatening to go to the media and to contact a lawyer they "graciously" gave us our money back (3 days it took to pry it away). Best thing that ever happened too, because on our way to get a drink we passed a place called Lincoln Woods....... which was the absolute total opposite.
READ YOUR LEASES !!!!!!
